Pretty Flowers to Brighten your day
Everybody who’s ready for some spring raise your hand and give a shout.
Me too.
Can’t wait for this blanket of white that’s been covering everything since the first of December to melt away and let me see some green. Even a little dirt color would be welcome at this point.
So…
In order to fight off the winter-time housebound craziness that is starting to possess everyone – we’re bringing on the flowers.
These little dearies will bring some color to your winter weary eyes and quite possibly bring a smile to your face too.
So pop on over to this page here at Writings on the Wall and get yourself some posies!
You know you want to.
It's the Little Moments that make Life Big
I’m busy like a little squirrel hiding acorns in a hollow tree. But, I am much bigger and not nearly as wiry as a little squirrel and I have no acorns or a hollow tree. No bushy tail either, come to think of it.
What I DO have is a whole bunch of new designs that I’m deliriously happy about and a whole new updated website that I am very impatient to launch. (coming soon to a computer near you!)
Today I’m sharing one of my new faves. So cute for a shelf or photo arrangement.
We’ve sold hundreds of the quote “Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.”
I love that one myself, but this one speaks of the little intimate moments:
When a child slips their hand into yours.
A smile and a wink from that one guy that just flips your heart upside down.
Sunrise, Starlight, Moonlight, Laughter, a quiet moment with some really good chocolate…
That’s the stuff that makes life great.

Bright red leaves, chilly nights, crispy crunchy apples… must be fall
Happy Fall Ya’ll!
I’m pulling my nose out of the website project to share some ideas for fall.
It’s my favorite time of year. All the good fresh produce available both at the grocery stores and in the roadside stands. Makes me feel healthy just thinkin’ about it.
I’ve eaten so much corn on the cob this year, I’m surprised I don’t have a yellowish caste to my skin. Really… I ate a lot.
So just to please Susan, who was so very pleasant on the phone this afternoon, I’m posting these 3 three little beauties.
The fonts I’ve used are a couple that I really love, are not currently shown on the website because they only work well for certain things – namely large and simple things.
Perfect for autumn decor, this is sized to fit an 8 x 24 board. For those who want to put it directly on the wall, the exact size is 6 x 22.
Vinyl letters only is $10.00. The finished, ready to hang on your wall, sign sells for $25.00.
It’s not just for Thanksgiving. I need one of these where I can look at it every day.
This one is also 6 x 22 inches.
Vinyl letters only is $10.00. Finished sign is $25.00
I love a nice Old English font!
Size is 4 x 34 – perfect for a 6 x 36″ board.
Vinyl letters only: $10.00, and the complete ready to hang sign is $28.00.
I’ve had several people inquiring as to whether we will do custom designs.
Heck Yeah!
That’s what we do here. You choose your quote… it doesn’t have to be something from our website, you choose your font and color and tell me how big you need it to be. It’s helpful if you have already measured the area or surface that you are applying the letters to, so that I can make it fit absolutely perfectly for you.
Chocolate, Coffee, Wine, Ice Cream… all the reasons to Save the Earth

Save the Earth
Designed this little gem the other day and I just had to add it to the collection o’ stuff that I’m sure folks just can’t live without.
But then I thought- not everyone loves coffee. That just happens to be something that I’m obsessive about. And I’m sure – as hard as it is to sure of something like this – there are people who DON’T love chocolate. It’s almost unthinkable, but still….
So, what are the things YOU love? What would be your two items, your reasons for saving the planet? It doesn’t even have to be food, although this would work well on the kitchen wall with choices like Pizza and Ice Cream and Toast and Pie and….
*Disclaimer:
This is all in fun. We all know that there are many much more serious reasons to take care of this beautiful world that we inhabit. Please don’t give me a lecture. On second thought, if you feel that you must… knock yourself out.
Now then…
